National Retreat Centre

National Retreat Centre We are currently in the early stages of developing a sustainable yoga retreat centre on six acres of land in the bush-clad Akatarawa Valley. The property is elevated and offers inspiring views of the Tasman Sea and Kapiti Island. Excavations have been made for a two-storied meditation hall and practice space.

The retreat is easily accessible and only a 10 minute drive to the nearby Waikanae township, 15 minutes from our Yoga in Daily Life Centre in Kapiti, 30 minutes from Otaki Centre and 1 hour from the capital city of Wellington. We are blessed to have the opportunity to create a peaceful haven for yoga practice and look forward to welcoming you soon!

We would appreciate any donations in the way of time, money or goods.

Some of the goods that would help us are the following - Building tools, spades, wheelbarrows, garden tools,recycled windows, doors, corrugated iron sheets, building materials, paving stones and bricks.

You can drop off the items at our Raumati Yoga Centre or Wellington Yoga Centre. Cash donations would also be very welcome.
